Is it Time Yet?
Is it time yet for me to jump on my motorcycle and feel a WARM wind in my face (or I'll even settle for just slightly crisp)? I watch the weather enthusiastically waiting - waiting for the right time to start up my motorcycle and hit the road.
She (yes it is a she...), she sits in the warm, toasty, dry garage -waiting too. I know because I can feel the draw and the question from her when I walk by - "Is it time yet? Can we ride now?"
She's all polished up, battery charged, gas tank full, oil changed, tires aired - just waiting... We're both waiting for that day of sunshine or just DRY and temperature above 45 (okay I'll even settle for 40 if I have to and a DRY day; we're in the Pacific Northwest remember).
I give her seat a loving pat when I walk by and a good word - "oh soon. Soon we will get to go!" I might even pull her out of the garage and start her for awhile just to hear the sound of her. But it just makes the want for more - well - more!
Can't you hear her asking? "Is it time yet?"

Nice Bike, fortunately we get to ride year round here in Panama City.
On a couple of warm days here on the Cape this past week, I saw a couple of Harley's on the road. Spring is a coming and You'll be out there. What size Harley do you own Valerie?
Jeff- ooohhh I am jealous although I do like our seasons here - even in winter there is a day or two that we get out there - just enough to keep the smile going... thanks for stopping in ! I can hear the clock ticking and the weather changing... first sign of dry pavement.......
Stephen - there are some crazy brave souls out there - (yes I've been one of those before!) and some who like my husband have heated gear --- .... I own a 2003 Dyna Low rider. My husband has a 2006 Ultra Classic...LOVE MY BIKE...

I feel your pain. It's "Bike Week" in Daytona Beach and this is the first one in 23 years I have missed. Ouch
